Common Cold Blues...

Yes, I caught a cold. Thought if I ignored it and just kept doing whatever I pleased it would just take the hint and go away. No, damn it! It got worse. Ugh! So for more than a week I have been miserable. Too tired to think or do anything but the bare minimum. If you have had a cold or flu recently you know how it makes everything overwhelming and all you want to do is have soup, tea (with honey and lemon), and warm bread (I use any excuse to have warm bread with butter). Being a 'sickie' is no fun and everyone sees you coughing and blowing your nose nonstop and treats you like a walking germ (which is pretty accurate). Enough lamenting my current distress.

In the short story I am writing, the main character and companions are leaving a haunted area and having to cross a suspension bridge between two cliffs that leads to the Dragon Pass. So, I have a first sketch of what I have in mind. Of course as I continue to work on it there will be at least one dragon in the air above and maybe one somewhere else. And I am working on sketches for the characters (at least one) being on the bridge or near it. It just kills me how some people are so good at drawing characters. I find it very challenging and wish I could get away with drawing in stick figures. Here is my first sketch:

Just in case you do not know what a stick figure is :

As you can see, I have a lot of practicing on how to draw people to do. A lot. Sorry to say I have not been writing very much or working on my mosaic. However, I was listening to an editor on YouTube that said it helps the creative abilities to step away from your work for awhile. So while I have been in a suspended in a black hole of time with this cold, (Who knew!) I have been increasing my creative abilities if this editor is right. It would be so nice if something positive came out of all this time spent feeling miserable.

Here is what I have to say to any of you that are feeling unwell. "This is so unfair. You are such a wonderful, extraordinary person and do not deserve to feel sick. Even though you are ill, you are still the best person I know. This will pass and you will start feeling better and start having lots of good times again soon."  Thanks for stopping by :)   Bye y'all
