Finally The Glass!

I do the dragonflies first, start the butterfly , but have to stop until the flowers are done. Now I can finish the butterfly to compliment the rest of the mosaic. I love the exotic feel of the piece, and will have to keep that expression foremost in completing the mosaic. It is always important to keep the theme running the work. Not forcing; but permeating.

The Next Step

I start to narrow down my glass choices and put them together in my lazy susan dish to ponder their cohesiveness. Then I make cuts after the mosaic begins.

Here I am at the beginning: the drawing. I lay out possible glass choices and start playing with beads and gems. This mosaic is for a particular person, so I have to draw on their preferences and trust my intuition.
